It’s Spring

A nostalgic climate invaded the winter walkways.Inspired by the romantic movement that took place in the second half of the 18th century – remember the wide dresses and floral liberty, reaching for the classic Chanel camellias – several designers and jewelery designers chose flowers as the winter fetish. And they added a more sober look using shades in beige, pink, lavender, blue and even ocher.

First was the Balenciaga brand parade which, in dresses with balloon modeling, used the extra-large floral print in the royal red and blue colors. To consolidate the trend, our dear Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel stylist, decorated his models with maxibijoux of lalique flowers in the summer 2009 collection shown in Paris.

The florals were also seen at the 2010 Winter Parades, and it was the turn of Ossie Clark and the Burberry brand to abuse the floral details by valuing the feminine silhouette in dresses, blouses and skirts.

Unlike summer, the flowers arrive in a warmer and less cuddly version. The theme is in the prints of Maria Bonita Extra and Giulieta’s collection, which embarks on this girl-like trend.

To make everything more sophisticated, the Swarovisk flowers. To take away from the serious, vintage flowers and for a trendy look, flowers on necklaces and scarves. The wave of flowers is also strong in accessories and jewelry. In the windows, we can find them in metallic shades, embroidered and gleaming in colored maxibijoux, in silver or gold.

And more: the print has invaded the winter lingerie that gains romantic details like babadinhos and laces on the sides of the panties and the straps of the bras. The suggestion is to use as complements in the t-shirts regattas and with the set of transparencies of the winter dresses.

This floral wave refers to dreams, old photographs and the smell of rosemary. So to match, how about having a little corner with flowers at home and get inspired by colors and shapes?

To be in the flowers:

* The secret lies in producing a funky look. Take your romantic side and mix it with cowgirl boots.

* It is possible to wear a rustic dress with floral stockings and boots! Have a good time!

* Alone or with overlaps, the flowery vest can be a great joker in winter production.

* Not to create a very literal floral look, what about increasing the basic look with accessories and bijoux?

* If you prefer the retro wave, how about invading your grandmother’s wardrobe and mint a flower brooch to compose your blazer!
